Forward Deployment Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer who can combine strong backend engineering skills with practical AI/GenAI implementation. The role will involve working closely with business/product stakeholders and deploying technology solutions into real-world workflows. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity, strong in Java or Node.js, and able to integrate and productionize AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with product, business and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into deployable solutions.
Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java/Spring Boot or Node.js .
Build and integrate REST APIs, microservices and third-party services.
Integrate LLM/GenAI capabilities into customer and business workflows.
Develop or integrate RAG, AI agents, prompt-based workflows and LLM APIs where applicable.
Own solution deployment, integration, testing, debugging and production rollout.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive solutions from problem discovery through implementation.
Work with engineering/product teams to feed deployment learnings back into scalable product improvements.
Collaborate with customers or customer-facing teams when required to customise and deploy solutions.
Maintain high standards for reliability, security, observability and code quality.
