SRE Production Support (Rotational Shift)

About the team:
FIS is looking to add an energetic, talented, and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to our Production Support team. The team supports critical business applications and infrastructure, with a strong focus on service reliability, rapid incident response, automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing:
• Provide 24x7 production support for critical business applications and infrastructure.
• Perform troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, service restoration, and problem-management activities.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions that reduce manual effort and operational toil.
• Create and enhance scripts using Shell Scripting and Python.
• Monitor system health, performance, and service availability.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams to improve reliability and resiliency.
• Participate in on-call rotations, night shifts, and weekend support as required.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives aligned with SRE best practices.
What you bring:
• Overall experience of 4 - 6 years in production support, automation, Linux, and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Linux commands, Shell scripting, and Python scripting/development.
• Good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles and operational excellence.
• Experience in automation, orchestration, and toil-reduction initiatives.
• Knowledge of production support processes, incident management, root cause analysis, service restoration, and problem management.
• Good understanding of switching technologies and network fundamentals.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, NetXMS, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps tooling, ITIL processes, and service-management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in night shifts, on-call rotations, and weekend support schedules.
