About Position:
We are looking for an experienced Python API Developer with strong Data Engineering expertise to design, develop, and support scalable APIs and data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, REST API development, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms. You will be responsible for building high-performance backend services, developing robust data processing solutions, and enabling seamless integration across enterprise systems and data platforms.

What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Build and support backend services for data-intensive and business-critical applications.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
Work with large-scale datasets and optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability.
Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Integrate APIs with databases, cloud platforms, data warehouses, and third-party applications.
Implement API authentication, authorization, request validation, exception handling, and logging mechanisms.
Perform API testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
Develop reusable frameworks and components to accelerate API and data engineering initiatives.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, data engineers, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Support production deployments and monitor application and data pipeline health.
Follow software engineering best practices including code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, and version control.
Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Expertise You'll Bring:
6-8 years of experience in Python Development, API Development, and Data Engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in Python programming and backend development.
Proven experience building REST APIs using FastAPI and modern API development frameworks.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases including query tuning and performance optimization.
Experience developing ETL/ELT workflows and data processing pipelines.
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable application design principles.
Experience integrating APIs with enterprise applications, databases, and third-party platforms.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with Git, version control practices, code reviews, and collaborative development.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and best practices.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
