To support our Site Trading Management team, we are searching for a Testing and Release Manager to be based in our London - Westfield office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead business User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across the site teams for platform migrations and major architectural changes, validating cross-system data flows and business rules before sign-off.
Review, refine, and govern test scenario libraries to ensure complete functional and regression test coverage across multi-stage customer journeys, checkout, catalog, and merchandising tooling.
Act as the business QA gatekeeper for ongoing weekly releases, testing new capabilities including currency launches, performance enhancements, and Google Vertex AI algorithmic merchandising integrations alongside manual VM tooling.
Assess and approve deployment schedules to ensure zero negative site impact, carefully timing releases to align with commercial priorities and low-friction windows in the business trading cadence.
Define release readiness criteria and manage operational handovers post-UAT, ensuring business teams are prepared and tools function reliably post-deployment.
Partner with Central Tech, Product Owners, and operational business leads to challenge requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure isolated feature testing prior to full end-to-end UAT.
Own and govern the business release calendar in partnership with Head of Site Operations & Delivery, coordinating release dependencies, commercial trading windows, blackout periods, and business readiness. Define clear go/no-go criteria for each release and ensure documented rollback and contingency plans are in place for higher-risk deployments
METRICS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Business UAT execution coverage and test case sign-off rate
Release success rate and zero critical path regressions in live environments
Adherence to release window schedules without commercial or trading disruption
Defect leak rate (bugs identified post-release vs. during pre-release UAT)
Time-to-market for weekly releases and minor capability enhancements
Business user readiness and smooth operational handovers post-release
WHO YOU ARE
Proven experience managing business QA, UAT, and release governance in complex e-commerce environments
Deep understanding of multi-stage customer flows, e-commerce architectures, PIM/OMS/CMS tooling, and web/native app platforms
Strong grasp of commercial trading cadences and the operational sensitivity of site release timing
Experience testing algorithmic integrations (e.g., search/browse models) alongside manual merchandising and visual tools
Exceptional attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to test case management and regression planning
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional Product and Tech teams as an autonomous individual contributor
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, using data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
