Research Fellow (Civil Engineering)

School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a school under College of Engineering and is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. The key objective of this position is to support the development of simulation models for coastal infrastructure, such as seawalls and dikes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop simulation models.
Conduct laboratory-scale tests.
Validate the models using field test data.
Publish research findings/papers in high-quality top journals.
Prepare proposals for further research and development.
Mentor and supervise students.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in machine learning and structural health monitoring.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in ABAQUS and laboratory testing.
Ability to work independently and develop solutions within strict timelines.
