We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, highly automated DevOps solutions on AWS. This role will define cloud infrastructure architecture, CI/CD standards, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container platforms, security controls, observability, and operational best practices.
The ideal candidate combines strong AWS architecture expertise with hands-on DevOps engineering experience and can provide technical leadership across application, integration, data, and cloud modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Define enterprise AWS DevOps architecture, standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures.
Design and implement highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient AWS environments.
Architect CI/CD pipelines for applications, APIs, integrations, data workloads, and infrastructure.
Establish Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK/CDKTF, and CloudFormation.
Design containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and Amazon ECR.
Define deployment strategies including Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling, and automated rollback.
Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS infrastructure across development, test, staging, and production environments.
Implement DevSecOps practices including SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, IAM controls, and policy enforcement.
Design AWS networking patterns involving VPCs, subnets, security groups, Route 53, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink/VPC endpoints, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
Establish centralized logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
Implement observability using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, OpenSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Design IAM and security models following least-privilege and Zero Trust principles.
Implement secrets and encryption management using AWS Secrets Manager, Systems Manager Parameter Store, and AWS KMS.
Design solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, auto-scaling, and business continuity.
Build reusable Terraform/CDK modules, pipeline templates, and automation accelerators.
Support migration and modernization of legacy applications and integration workloads onto AWS.
Establish governance across multiple AWS accounts using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, SCPs, tagging standards, and centralized logging.
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Development, Integration, Data Engineering, and Operations teams.
Mentor DevOps engineers and provide architectural guidance and technical leadership.
Required Experience
10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of AWS/DevOps experience.
3+ years in a DevOps Architect, Cloud Architect, Platform Architect, or Lead DevOps Engineer role.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including:
EC2, S3, IAM, VPC
Lambda
ECS/EKS

CloudWatch and CloudTrail
Secrets Manager and KMS
EventBridge, SNS and SQS
Step Functions
Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with AWS CDK/CDKTF and CloudFormation.
Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, IAM, encryption, certificates, and private connectivity.
Experience implementing enterprise DevSecOps and security automation.
Experience designing monitoring and observability solutions.
Strong understanding of Git workflows, artifact management, release management, and environment promotion.
Integration Modernization Experience – Preferred
Experience supporting AWS-based enterprise integration platforms involving:
Amazon API Gateway for API management and exposure.
AWS Lambda for serverless processing and integration.
Amazon EventBridge, SNS and SQS for event-driven integration.
AWS Step Functions for workflow orchestration.
AWS Transfer Family for SFTP/AS2-based file and B2B integration.
AWS B2B Data Interchange for EDI transformation and processing.
Amazon S3 for enterprise file and message storage.
AWS Batch for large-scale batch processing.
Amazon MWAA / Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
Private endpoints and secure connectivity between AWS and enterprise/on-premise systems.
DevSecOps Responsibilities
The architect should establish automated controls for:

Terraform/IaC security validation
Secrets detection
IAM and policy validation
Automated compliance checks
