Lab Quality Executive

A reliable seed quality control process begins with accurate laboratory testing, data analysis, and reporting. High-quality laboratory evaluations are essential to ensuring seed quality, supporting research programs, and enabling informed decision-making across production and Quality control processes.
As a Lab Quality Executive, you will play a key role in executing complex laboratory tests and perform routine quality laboratory testing, including sample registration, Mechanical purity, TSW, BP and TP germination test etc.
Make a difference as a Lab Quality Executive
As a Lab Quality Executive, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and quality evaluations on seed and plant material, recording and analyzing results, supporting Quality control initiatives, and driving process improvements. You will work closely with Quality control, Research, Production, and other internal stakeholders to ensure reliable testing outcomes and efficient laboratory operations.
In this role, your work will include:
Register, receive, and track seed samples in line with the ABS testing plan.
Prepare and process samples according to established quality standards and testing protocols.
Schedule and coordinate laboratory testing activities, including moisture analysis, mechanical purity, Thousand Seed Weight (TSW), germination, and other quality assessments.
Ensure all planned tests are completed accurately and within agreed timelines, adhering to applicable SOPs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date ABS records, ensuring completeness and integrity of testing data.
Support the maintenance, calibration, and proper functioning of laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality control processes and compliance standards.
What you bring as our future colleague
As a Lab Quality Executive, you are detail-oriented, quality-focused, and passionate about laboratory excellence. You combine strong analytical skills with a practical approach to laboratory operations and continuous improvement. You are comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
In addition, you possess the following:
Master's degree in Agriculture (M.Sc. Agri.) with specialization in Seed Technology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, or a related field,
At least 4 to 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in ISTA and NABL accredited laboratories.
Proficiency in ISTA seed sampling procedures and testing methods for vegetable seeds.
Familiarity with QC laboratory audits, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and implement laboratory protocols while maintaining quality requirements.
Good communication skills in English and the local language, both written and verbal.
Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to work at Pune.
