What We're Looking For:
The Global Supply Chain and Repair organization leads Zebra’s purchasing, manufacturing, distribution and servicing of both products and solutions to customers around the world. Enabled by an innovative, inclusive and performance-driven culture, this team puts the customer first. Whether navigating complex logistics environments to deliver Zebra products on time, providing resiliency to manufacturing networks or delivering leading services to our customers, the Global Supply Chain and Repair team delivers a performance edge to Zebra’s business.
The purpose of this internship is to prepare students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide students with experiences that provide insights into a career with Zebra. Students will be positioned for success with training and hands-on experiences, invited to social and development activities, and provided a professional mentor relationship.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to (based on project assignment) :
Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze operational datasets to identify trends, track performance metrics, and support data-driven decisions.
Process Optimization: Assist in reviewing and improving existing workflows to drive operational efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks.
Reporting & Dashboards: Maintain and update reports, trackers, and visual dashboards to provide visibility on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with internal and external partners to address day-to-day operational needs and support ongoing initiatives.
Special Projects: Execute a designated individual or team project, presenting actionable recommendations and findings to leadership.
Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
Increase technology knowledge and skills
Develop team-based work proficiencies
Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate (MS/MBA) degree program in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/engineering field
Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2027 - December 2029
Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior coursework, certifications, or project experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, root-cause analysis).
Familiarity with design software (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks) for facility planning, product design, or workstation layouts.
Experience with time-study standards, line balancing, or factory floor flow simulation.
Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Oracle Agile PLM or similar systems
Practical or academic project experience developing interactive dashboards and automated reports using Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
Prior internship, engineering co-op, or major university capstone project demonstrating process optimization, cost-reduction, or supply chain readiness in a manufacturing, repair, or distribution facility
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint & demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. advanced formulas, XLookup, VLookup, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, basic data modeling)
Ability to translate complex quantitative data into actionable business narratives and present insights to managers and cross-functional teams
Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
Ability to collaborate as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN EITHER LINCOLNSHIRE, IL OR HOLTSVILLE, NY. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.
Salary: USD $30.00- USD $40.50 Hourly
