Business Analyst - Global Screening Filter Management- Volume Mitigation

As a Business Analyst for Global Screening Filter Management – Volume Mitigation within the Corporate & Investment Bank Payments Technology Team, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, testing new list updates, and introducing logic into the Fircosoft filter to prevent repetitive items from stopping for review. Your focus will be on maintaining an appropriate hit rate while minimizing risk. You’ll work closely with multiple functional areas, clients, and compliance partners to ensure effective process management and escalation handling.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze and data mine reports to propose hit mitigation strategies.
Create exceptions to reduce false hits in screening filters.
Build and execute test cases to ensure exceptions are effective and risk averse.
Interface with multiple functional areas, onshore partners, clients, internal/external customers, and compliance for process and escalation management.
Recommend adjustments and improvements to departmental procedures and system enhancements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, filtering, formulas)
Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to learn new technology applications and concepts.
Detail-oriented with a focus on constant refinement and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Prior experience in risk mitigation or compliance roles.
Familiarity with global screening processes and volume mitigation strategies.
Oracle SQL knowledge
Fircosoft experience a plus
