About the Role:
We are looking for a general assistant to join the team at a new opening at the Royal Portbury docks. Providing meals to staff over breakfast and lunch periods. Working on the till and servery plating food from the line. Assisted by a kitchen team member your responsibilities will on the front of house take orders payment and serving.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve meals, snacks & drinks including taking payments.
• Clean all equipment, crockery & cutlery as required
Help building made to order sandwiches and building plates from the service line.
Ensure all food is handled in accordance with the standards specified in the Food Safety & Quality Management System
Receive deliveries and check supplier invoices in accordance with the company systems/procedures.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies
Complete all compliance and HACCP paperwork accurately and on time
Coordinate with the front-of-house team member to ensure smooth and friendly service
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Skills / Knowledge / Experience Required
Customer Care and Customer Service experience, preferably in a Catering environment - candidate must have the ability to communicate positively and confidently about Somerset Larder to our consumers and clients.
Problem solving skills, ability to see the ‘end game’ and work around particular hurdles placed at short notice.
Ability to use and understand Cash, Cash Handling, EPOS and Cashless systems.
Previous Large Catering experience. (Desirable)
Previous responsibility for stock and cash management control (Desirable)
