Tax CPA - Wealth Management & Advisory

We are seeking an experienced CPA to join a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
This role combines tax compliance, tax planning, and strategic advisory, providing the opportunity to work directly with clients on complex tax matters, estate planning, retirement strategies, and long-term wealth management.
The ideal candidate is a client-focused tax professional who enjoys solving complex tax issues, identifying planning opportunities, and building trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
Provide year-round tax planning, projections, and advisory services.
Research federal and state tax laws, regulations, and legislative developments.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop practical strategies aligned with client objectives.
Assist with trust, estate, and fiduciary tax planning and compliance.
Support retirement planning, wealth management, and broader financial advisory initiatives.
Participate in client meetings and clearly communicate tax strategies and recommendations.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Collaborate with senior tax and advisory professionals on complex client engagements.
Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines throughout the year.
Prepare accurate workpapers and maintain organized supporting documentation.
Stay current on tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Active CPA license required.
1–3+ years of public accounting or tax experience.
Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Trust, estate, and fiduciary tax experience highly preferred.
Interest in expanding beyond tax compliance into tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong client-service and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax season.
Ability to work on-site in Oradell, NJ.
