Shifts Available: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $21–$22 per hour

As part of our growing team, the Lead Behavioral Health Technician will play an important role in supporting clients throughout their treatment journey while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Position Summary
The Lead Behavioral Health Technician (Lead BHT) performs all responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role while serving as the lead team member during assigned shifts. This position supports daily program operations by coordinating client activities, assisting with workflow, providing guidance and training to BHT staff, and promoting a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment.
The Lead BHT works collaboratively with clinical and program leadership to support quality client care, continuity of services, operational efficiency, and compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) position.
Serve as the lead team member during assigned shifts and provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to Behavioral Health Technicians.
Assist with coordinating daily client activities, treatment schedules, and milieu operations to promote consistency and a positive therapeutic environment.
Assist with the intake and orientation process for new clients entering the program.
Observe, monitor, and respond appropriately to client behavioral and emotional needs, including crisis intervention when necessary.
Support implementation of treatment plan objectives and reinforce client-specific therapeutic goals.
Assist with onboarding and training new Behavioral Health Technicians as assigned.
Communicate client concerns, staffing issues, and operational needs to program leadership.
Maintain accurate client documentation in accordance with program, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.
Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly treatment environment.
Assist with client dietary and daily living needs as required.
When assigned as a BHT Driver, safely transport clients in accordance with company transportation policies and complete all required transportation documentation.
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company and client information.
Complete all required trainings as designated by the company and applicable accreditation/licensing entities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. The Lead BHT functions as a lead worker and may provide shift-level guidance, training, coaching, and operational support to Behavioral Health Technicians.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clients, BHT staff, and members of the treatment team.
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis or other high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and a safe therapeutic environment.
