The Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Psychology position. We seek an engaging educator who is passionate about student success and excited to join a teaching-focused department dedicated to excellence, innovation, and access. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate Psychology courses in multiple modalities, including Statistics, Research Methods, Introduction to Psychology, and courses aligned with their area of expertise, while supporting a diverse and growing student population. Key Job Responsibilities:
Teach 27 credits of undergraduate courses per academic year in multiple modalities (in-person and online) including sections of undergraduate Statistics, Research Methods, and Introduction to Psychology, as well as additional courses in the Psychology program curriculum within the candidate’s area of expertise.
Attend Psychology faculty meetings, serve on departmental committees, engage in professional development, vote on matters concerning curriculum/programming, and mentoring undergraduate students.
Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.

Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Required Qualifications:
Earned Master’s in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution or anticipated prior to starting date.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching online and in-person
Commitment to undergraduate education
Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned Doctorate in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution or anticipated prior to starting date
Experience teaching online and in-person quantitative psychology courses (Statistics or Research Methods)
Conditions of Appointment:
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may be required to teach an occasional course at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus.
Position is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. Finalist(s) will need to consent to a verification of academic credentials through a third-party education check provider authorized by the University. A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the university does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

The Universities of Wisconsin provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately, and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The Universities of Wisconsin also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
In addition, eligible employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually and paid parental leave.
