Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

We run daily dentals and soft tissue surgery Monday through Thursday. No weekends. No on-call. This role is ideal for a technician who is confident in the surgery suite, takes ownership of anesthetic monitoring, and is ready to be a critical member of a dedicated surgical team. Surgeries run Monday through Thursday — no Fridays, no weekends.
In this position, you will take an active role in:
Coordinating with the doctor on the daily flow for surgical and dental procedures
Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
Responsibilities include:
Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Assisting in surgery
Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Schedule and compensation:
Compensation: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule: This is a flexible position open to someone full-time or part-time position, with a full time typically offering a 4 x 10 schedule, Monday–Friday. No weekends and no on-call requirements.
Full-time Benefits Package*:
Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of SC

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
3+ years of veterinary technician experience
Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of SC**
Proficiency in the following skills:
Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
