Registered Veterinary Technician - Dentistry

Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for anesthesia and dental procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.
In this position, you will take an active role in:
Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
Schedule and compensation:
Compensation: $28 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked
This is a part-time position with availibility required on Mondays, and a preference for Tuesdays and Thursdays. There may be full-time opportunities for the right candidate.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
3+ years of veterinary technician experience
Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California**
Familiarity with Cornerstone software and Fear Free Certification is a plus!
Proficiency in the following skills:
Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
Accurate medical record documentation
