Role: AI Architect with Azure & UiPath
Location: Remote in USA
Duration: Contract
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Required Skills:
Deep expertise in Azure AI Foundry (or Azure AI Studio) architecture — model deployment, orchestration, agent design, evaluation frameworks
Strong architectural experience with UiPath Agentic Automation (Agent Builder, Orchestrator) and traditional RPA architecture
Solid grasp of LLM architecture concepts: prompting strategies, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, grounding, guardrails
Enterprise integration architecture experience (APIs, event-driven systems, microservices, ERP/CRM integration)
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud architecture (networking, security, identity, scalability, cost governance)
Experience with responsible AI, data governance, and compliance frameworks (especially for regulated industries)
Proficiency in Python with ability to review/guide code-level implementation
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical decisions at a senior level
Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end architecture for AI agent solutions spanning Azure AI Foundry (model orchestration, prompt flow, agent services) and UiPath (Agent Builder, Orchestrator, Autopilot)
Establish design patterns and best practices for agentic AI, RAG pipelines, LLM integration, and RPA-AI convergence
Architect enterprise-wide integration strategies connecting AI agents to core systems (EHR/EMR, claims platforms, ERP/CRM, data platforms, APIs)
Lead technical evaluations and selection of models, tools, and frameworks; own the AI/automation technology roadmap
Design governance frameworks for AI agent security, compliance, responsible AI, access control, and cost management — with attention to healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) where applicable
Define scalability, reliability, and monitoring standards for production AI agent deployments
Partner with business, security, data, and engineering leadership (including clinical/operations stakeholders in healthcare contexts) to translate strategic goals into technical architecture
Mentor and guide AI engineers and developers on implementation, providing architectural oversight and code/design reviews
Evaluate and drive adoption of emerging agentic AI capabilities and platform updates (Azure, UiPath, and adjacent tools)
Own architectural documentation, reference designs, and reusable frameworks/accelerators
