About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE ENGINEER, QUALITY & AUTOMATION is responsible for owning quality and automation processes for large enterprise deployments. This role focuses on developing a world-class quality assurance function by leveraging agentic tooling to automate repetitive tasks such as issue detection, reproduction, and resolution. The position works closely with customers and engineering teams to ensure consistent environments across SaaS and PaaS deployments, improve internal automated testing, and maintain clear, severity-weighted reporting on quality trends. Depending on experience, the role may involve owning the customer’s quality experience end to end or setting quality and automation standards across engineering.
Responsibilities:
Maintain consistency across SaaS and PaaS environments to prevent configuration drift
Develop automation capabilities for handling bugs using agentic tools that operate without manual intervention
Resolve bugs directly by shipping fixes rather than creating tickets
Conduct bug bashes on new features and establish repeatable practices
Manage bug reporting and communication with engineering leadership and customers
Collaborate with customers to integrate and improve issue reporting and validation processes
Enhance internal automated testing coverage and reliability
Link customer-reported issues to corresponding tests or environment checks
Create and curate datasets to support agent quality evaluation
Requirements:
Experience in production software engineering with a focus on writing and shipping code
Practical experience building test automation and continuous integration quality gates
Proven use of AI or agentic tooling in work processes
Experience working directly with customers or enterprise users on issue resolution
Ability to manage ambiguity and take ownership of outcomes without predefined direction
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
