Role Description The Human Resources Payroll Administrator contract role is a remote position responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing and supporting core HR administrative functions. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and validating timesheets, processing payroll in alignment with company policies and applicable regulations, and ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits. The role also involves maintaining employee records in HRIS systems, assisting with employee benefits administration, and responding to employee inquiries about pay, time off, and policies. The Administrator will prepare payroll reports, support audits, help implement HR policies and procedures, and coordinate with finance and HR teams to ensure timely and compliant payroll operations.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Payroll Administration, including end-to-end payroll processing and compliance with relevant labor and tax regulations.
Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) principles and practices, including HR Policies and employee lifecycle administration.
Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including maintaining accurate employee data and generating reports.
Familiarity with Employee Benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and coordination with benefit providers.
Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to respond clearly to employee questions in a remote environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and high-volume cycles.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and payroll-related software; prior experience with common payroll platforms is an asset.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in a payroll or HR administrative role, particularly in a remote or distributed team setting, is preferred.
