Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an Accounts Payable Payroll professional. The role involves processing vendor invoices, managing expense reports, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with payroll-related entries and adjustments. The individual in this role reviews documentation for compliance with company policies, investigates discrepancies, and collaborates with finance and accounting team members to support month-end and year-end close activities. The position also requires maintaining organized records, responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors, and supporting process improvements in accounts payable and payroll workflows.
Qualifications
Strong finance and accounting foundation, including experience with Accounts Payable processes and basic payroll-related accounting.
Proficiency in managing expense reports and applying analytical skills to identify variances and resolve issues.
Ability to prepare, review, and post journal entries (accounting) with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience working with accounting or ERP software and common office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and vendors.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and relevant regulations; prior experience in a similar AP or payroll role is preferred.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
