Dive Clinic Coach

Job Description
Assistant Dive Coach supports the University's diving clinic programs. This position assists with instruction, athlete development, and supervision of participants while helping create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment for divers of all skill levels.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Diving Coach with the planning and delivery of diving clinic sessions.
Teach and demonstrate proper diving techniques, skills, and safety practices.
Provide individualized instruction, feedback, and encouragement to participants.
Supervise athletes during practices and clinic activities to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines.
Assist with equipment setup, facility preparation, and post-clinic cleanup.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes skill development and sportsmanship.
Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the diving program.
Qualifications
Required
Knowledge of competitive diving techniques and training principles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and adults in a teaching environment.
Preferred
Previous competitive diving and/or coaching experience.
CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications.
Experience working with youth athletes.
Schedule:
Part-time, casual position; approximately 5-8 hours per week
Evening and weekend availability required
Hourly Pay Grade 1: $15 to $17 per hour
