Collins Aerospace is seeking an Senior Agile Scrum Master to support systems engineering and product development teams delivering mission-critical capabilities for U.S. defense programs. The Scrum Master will guide Agile practices, facilitate team ceremonies, and remove obstacles to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, servant leadership, and the ability to operate within a dynamic environment common to DoD and aerospace programs.
What You Will Do
• Serve as Scrum Master for cross-functional Agile teams
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Demonstrations, Retrospectives, Risk Management Reviews, and Agile Performance Reviews.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized, well-groomed backlog aligned with program objectives
• Identify and remove impediments that impact team velocity, quality, or delivery commitments
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across the team
• Promote Lean practices that reduce waste, improve flow, and increase value delivery
• Provide transparency into team progress through metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, risks, and dependencies
• Monitor Agile delivery and Earned Value performance metrics, and work with the team to implement preventive and corrective actions when variances or risks are identified.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Program Management, and Test teams to support release planning and integration activities
• Ensure compliance with engineering processes, configuration-management standards, and program requirements
• Foster a team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence

Qualifications You Must Have
• Experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Champion in a technical field
• Experience applying Agile methodologies within government, DoD, or aerospace programs
• Experience using Agile delivery metrics and Earned Value Management data to monitor performance and guide team actions
• Experience using Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Engineering Workflow Manager, etc.)
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
• Agile certifications such as CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or PMI-ACP
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management concepts, including schedules, cost accounts, baseline planning, and variance analysis
• Experience supporting Agile adoption and transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycles and integration/test processes
• Certifications in Lean, CI, and/or Change Management
• Active Secret (or higher) security clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
