Project Manager, Sustainable Buildings – JLL
What this job involves:
You will lead transformative sustainability projects that shape the future of commercial real estate. As a Project Manager on JLL's Sustainability Consulting team, you'll drive green building certifications, manage construction sustainability initiatives, and deliver strategic solutions for leading global clients. This role combines technical expertise with client relationship management, allowing you to make a measurable impact on environmental performance while advancing JLL's position as an industry leader in sustainable real estate practices.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead client meetings, design charrettes, and presentations to communicate sustainability strategies and project progress
Develop and complete documentation, plans, and calculations to achieve green building certifications (LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon, Fitwel)
Track sustainability metrics and goals, providing written and oral reports to design teams, owners, and contractors
Manage project financials including setup, invoicing, and accounts receivable to ensure cost-effective delivery
Develop project scopes, schedules, and technical documentation while proactively addressing project-related issues
Conduct job site visits during construction to monitor progress and verify conformance to sustainable design specifications
Support project executives on large, complex assignments requiring advanced sustainability knowledge
Required Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience in real estate sustainability, corporate environmental management, or energy efficiency
BA/BS degree in environmental science, engineering, real estate, architecture, or related field with strong academic record
LEED AP, WELL AP, and/or Fitwel Ambassador certification
Demonstrated proficiency with project management technology tools and ability to adopt new technologies
Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop technical presentations
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with embodied carbon analysis and sustainable material specification
Knowledge of GRESB, CDP, GRI, TCFD, SASB, and ENERGY STAR frameworks
Familiarity with building HVAC systems and mechanical design considerations
Experience with International Living Futures Institute, Net Zero, Passive House, or Zero Waste certifications
Background in construction administration or architectural project delivery
Corporate sustainability reporting experience

Expected compensation for this position:
95,000.00 – 115,000.00 USD per year
Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
