Develop the software intelligence layer that understands, predicts, and orchestrates (neuro)endovascular procedures. This role transforms procedural data into workflow awareness, automation opportunities, and clinical decision support.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
​You design and implement (hierarchical) workflow engines that coordinate different medical devices and components that are used in the interventional suite, e.g. imaging and robotics.
You model endovascular procedure workflows including phase entry and exit criteria and real-world event handling based on clinical context, system state, and manual physician interaction.
You develop fail-safe workflows and human handover strategies for autonomous and semi-autonomous operation including safe supervision logic, confidence thresholds, and deterministic failure recovery.
You integrate inputs from real-time multi-modal machine learning models and sensors such as x-ray imaging and robots for real-time state estimation.
You partner with computer vision and robotics teams to integrate imaging-derived events and robotic capabilities into the workflow logic architecture.
You work in an interdisciplinary regulated medical device environment, collaborate closely with cross-functional experts, and work in close alignment with development teams in Germany.

Your qualifications and experience:
​​You have a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or a PhD in Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, or related field.
You have experience with complex distributed systems, workflow modeling, state estimation, behavior trees, process automation, decision support, or autonomous decision systems.
Strong understanding of software architecture, systems engineering, and real-time systems.
Familiarity with neurovascular interventions, image-guided therapy, angiography, or clinical workflow optimization is a plus.
You have experience in programming in common languages such as Rust, Python, or C++, and software engineering following DevOps best practices.

The base pay range for this position is:
$114,920 - $158,015
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
