Enterprise Systems Architect

Role Description The Enterprise Systems Architect at América de Natal SAF is a part-time, remote role responsible for designing and overseeing the organization’s core technology systems. This role involves defining enterprise architecture standards, creating system blueprints, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and technical best practices. The Enterprise Systems Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business functions to gather requirements, evaluate technologies, and guide implementation teams. Daily tasks include producing architecture diagrams, designing integration patterns, reviewing software designs, and providing technical leadership on system scalability, security, and performance. The role also includes ongoing assessment of existing systems, recommending improvements, and supporting project teams through documentation, architecture reviews, and solution validation.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in System Architecture and Systems Design, with experience defining enterprise-wide technology frameworks and standards.
Strong background in Systems Engineering and Integration, including designing and implementing interfaces between heterogeneous systems.
Hands-on experience in Software Development, with the ability to review code and guide engineering teams on architectural best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and modern integration patterns (e.g., REST, message queues, event-driven architectures).
Knowledge of security, compliance, scalability, and performance considerations in enterprise environments.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure architecture) are a plus.
