Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver

What You’ll Do:
Coach and mentor individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) through workshop-style learning activities such as art, music, cooking, technology, recreation and other life-skills activites.
Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence.
Support community outings and volunteer activities.
Provide personal care, including restroom, hygiene, eating, and mobility support.
Provide behavioral support and use trained de-escalation techniques.
Provide compassionate, person-centered care tailored to individual needs.
Prepare, clean, and reset program areas.
Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
Report on daily outcomes within the electronic documentation system.
Drive company vehicles for outings and community activities.
Collaborate with your team to create a safe, supportive, fun, and consistent environment.
Your Experience Matters
We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, or similar support needs. Relevant backgrounds may include Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Paraprofessional, Teacher's Aide, Respite Provider, Residential Counselor, Community Support Worker, Job Coach, Employment Specialist, or similar human services experience.
What You'll Need
At least 6 months experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
Experience providing direct support, personal care, behavioral support, or skill development
Must be 18 years or older
Highschool Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company van
Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems
Strong reading, writing, and communication skills for documentation, support plans, and team communication
Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs.
