The Deputy Manager - IT and Automation role plays a key part in driving digital transformation and improving operational efficiency across manufacturing and sales functions. Based onsite in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, the position oversees the selection, customisation, integration, and implementation of IT solutions while supporting ERP utilisation, workflow automation, data security, and business productivity.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, recommend, and implement software solutions for manufacturing operations and sales processes
Provide technical support and training on Microsoft Office applications to optimise the user experience
Customise, integrate, and maintain ERP systems such as Tally, Thomas Globe, or similar platforms
Develop automation tools and functional templates using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
Coordinate between ERP developers and internal stakeholders during customisation and implementation phases
Gather requirements from functional teams and configure ERP modules to support seamless integration
Manage system updates, support change management initiatives, and ensure a smooth transition for users
Analyse business data and generate insightful reports to support strategic decision-making
Configure and test integrations between ERP systems and other software applications
Capture and improve user workflows to enhance software efficiency and the user experience
Implement and maintain data security measures and cybersecurity protocols
Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and roll out new features
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, document system improvements, and manage change requests
Adapt to changing business needs and undertake additional responsibilities as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, ERP support and customisation, or IT systems integration
Hands-on expertise with ERP platforms such as Tally, Thomas Globe, or similar solutions
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including macros, pivot tables, and formulas
Experience in ERP customisation, database integration, and automation solutions
Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and business intelligence practices
Understanding of cybersecurity standards and data protection measures
Previous experience in system implementation, change management, and the documentation of business workflows
Exposure to IT solutions for manufacturing and sales functions
ERP systems, Microsoft Office, or cybersecurity certifications would be advantageous
