Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions, with a focus on back-end web development and core application logic. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, reviewing requirements with clients, and implementing improvements based on feedback. The role also involves documenting technical decisions, collaborating asynchronously with stakeholders, and ensuring that delivered solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
Candidates should possess experience in Back-End Web Development and practical server-side application design.
Candidates should possess solid Programming skills with proficiency in at least one modern language.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in real-world projects.
Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with version control (e.g., Git), databases, APIs, and unit testing.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with clients.
Prior experience as a freelance or self-employed developer, or relevant project portfolio, is an advantage.
