Job Description
Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
Ensure high availability through technologies such as Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering.
Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.
Manage database security, user roles, permissions, and compliance requirements.
Troubleshoot database-related incidents and performance bottlenecks.
Execute database maintenance tasks, including index rebuilding, statistics updates, and integrity checks.
Support application deployments, releases, and database migrations.
Work closely with development teams to optimize database design and SQL queries.
Create and maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
Required Skills
================
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
Knowledge of SQL Server Backup and Recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience with:
SQL Server Agent
SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
Database Mirroring
Replication
Always On Availability Groups
Log Shipping
