We are looking for a driven, tech-fluent Upwork Bidder / IT Sales Specialist to help scale our pipeline and secure high-ticket technical projects.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Upwork Bidder & Lead Generation Specialist with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in bidding for software development, cloud, and cybersecurity projects. If you understand technical concepts (Cloud, DevOps, Azure, and Security) and know how to craft winning proposals that convert clients, this remote contract role offers competitive performance-based commissions and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Bidding: Scan, filter, and bid on relevant IT, Cloud, DevOps, and Cybersecurity projects on Upwork and other freelance channels.
Proposal Writing: Draft personalized, engaging, and high-converting cover letters that address client pain points directly.
Client Engagement: Initiate conversations with international clients, gather project requirements, and coordinate technical discovery calls with our senior engineering team.
Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy bidding pipeline, track conversion metrics, and continuously optimize proposal templates based on success rates.
Market Research: Stay up to date with tech trends to accurately position IT Guiders' core services.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: 1–2 years of proven experience as an Upwork Bidder, IT Sales Representative, or Business Development Executive in an IT services agency.
Technical Literacy: Familiarity with terminology across Managed IT Services, Cloud Security, Microsoft Azure, AWS, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Cybersecurity Compliance, and AI Solutions.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills with a strong knack for persuasive copywriting.
Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Upwork’s bidding algorithm, profile optimization, Connects management, and client vetting strategies.
Availability: Comfortable working remotely on a contract basis with flexibility to meet target deadlines.
