🚀 We’re Hiring | Test Automation Engineer – Networking
Terralogic is looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our L2/L3 Protocol Test Team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network test automation, Python, CI/CD, and networking protocols, with the ability to work closely with Development and QA teams.
📍 Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
💼 Role: Test Automation Engineer
🧪 Domain: Networking / L2-L3 Protocol Testing
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for L2/L3 features.
• Translate networking feature requirements into comprehensive automation scenarios.
• Develop automated tests for forwarding-plane functionality, including policy, path selection, and traffic-based measurements.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Earms.
• Support defect reproduction, debugging, and triaging of automation-related issues.
• Prepare test plans, automation documentation, procedures, and test reports.
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and CircuIT to improve automation efficiency.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and provide final handover documentation to engineering teams.
🔹 Required Skills
✅ Strong experience in Network Test Automation
✅ Strong programming skills in Python
✅ Scripting experience with YAML and JSON
✅ C programming is an added advantage
✅ Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and Jenkins
✅ Experience with pytest, pyATS, or similar automation frameworks
✅ Good understanding of routing and switching
✅ Knowledge of forwarding, traffic engineering, and policy-based routing is an advantage
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with networking technologies and Cisco networking products
• Experience using AI tools for test automation
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in cross functional terms
