Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Dental Hygienist at Swashtra. The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental care, including dental prophylaxis and patient education on oral hygiene practices. Daily responsibilities include assessing oral health, documenting clinical findings, supporting the diagnosis and management of periodontal disease, and coordinating care with dentists and other oral health professionals. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards, and using telehealth or digital tools when appropriate to engage and guide patients.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to perform comprehensive oral health assessments.
Proficiency in Hygiene practices and Dental Prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and preventive treatment techniques.
Knowledge of Periodontal Disease, including risk assessment, early detection, and patient education for disease prevention and management.
Valid licensure or certification as a Dental Hygienist (as required by local regulations), with demonstrated clinical experience.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, including strong organizational skills and comfort with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on patient education, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
