Role Description The Beckhoff PLC Programmer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning automation solutions using Beckhoff hardware and TwinCAT software. Day-to-day tasks include developing PLC logic, configuring I/O and fieldbus systems, creating HMI/SCADA interfaces, and troubleshooting control systems during installation and operation. The role also involves collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and project engineering teams, preparing documentation, and supporting customers during on-site deployment and maintenance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, requiring hands-on work with equipment and systems at customer and company locations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Beckhoff PLCs, TwinCAT programming, and industrial automation control systems.
Experience with fieldbus and communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Modbus, TCP/IP) and industrial I/O configuration.
Skills in HMI/SCADA development, interface design, and integration with PLC-based control systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation for automation projects.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and root-cause analysis for PLC and field devices.
Good understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices in machine and process automation.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and customer teams.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
Prior experience in industrial automation projects, system commissioning, or OEM machinery is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site, travel to customer locations when required, and adapt to diverse industrial environments.
