We are looking for an experienced BIM MODELLER -SPECIAL AIRPORT SYSTEM to join our team on a remote basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Modelling and Design production
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for:
Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
Cargo Handling Systems
Automated Material Handling Systems (MHS)
Conveyor and Sortation Systems
Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) & Associated Equipment
Ancillary Airport Equipment
Produce BIM models to the required level of development (LOD 300-500).
Prepare general arrangement drawings, sections, elevations, installation drawings, and shop drawings.
Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and client standards.
Coordinate models with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Specialist Systems disciplines
Airport System Design Support
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for:
Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
Cargo Handling Systems
Automated Material Handling Systems (MHS)
Conveyor and Sortation Systems
Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB)
Ancillary Airport Equipment
Produce BIM models to the required level of development (LOD 300-500).
Prepare general arrangement drawings, sections, elevations, installation drawings, and shop drawings.
Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and client standards.
Coordinate models with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Specialist Systems disciplines
Author and exchange discipline models within the Common Data Environment, following agreed work-in-progress, shared, published and archived workflows.
Integrate discipline models into federated coordination models; undertake clash detection, clearance checks, interface reviews and model health checks; record and close issues through the agreed coordination process.
Support design reviews, constructability assessments, phasing, logistics, temporary works, 4D planning and facility or asset information requirements where included in the project scope.
Coordinate with discipline engineers to confirm design intent and promptly identify incomplete inputs, geometric conflicts, data inconsistencies and departures from standards.
Maintain model accuracy, file performance, coordinates, levels, units, links, revisions and metadata, and observe the project model-sharing and approval protocols.
Avi Plan & PBB Planning
Utilize Avi PLAN for:
Aircraft stand planning
Aircraft parking analysis
Passenger Boarding Bridge positioning
Aircraft clearance verification
Gate compatibility studies
Support PBB design coordination and validation for multiple aircraft types.
BIM Coordination & Clash Detection
Perform clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary design reviews.
Track and resolve design clashes and interface issues.
Maintain BIM issue logs and coordination reports.
Construction & Site Support (Remote)
Support installation and construction teams with model-based coordination.
Update BIM models based on field conditions and design revisions.
Assist in preparation of as-built models and construction documentation.
Participate in site surveys and verification activities.
Quality Control & Deliverables
Complete self-checks and support independent model and drawing reviews before issue, including geometry, data, coordination, quantities, presentation and compliance checks.
Work to agreed priorities, deliverable schedules and model production plans; provide accurate progress information and early warning of constraints or missing inputs.
Follow applicable health, safety, quality, environmental, information-security and document-control procedures.
Support tender and construction-stage queries, model updates, as-built information and handover requirements when included in the assignment.
Required Qualifications
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
Mechanical Engineering
BIM / Engineering Design Technology
Industrial Engineering
Or related discipline
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of BIM modeling experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience on airport infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in:
Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
Cargo Handling Systems
Material Handling Systems (MHS)
Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB)

Strong understanding of airport terminal operations.
Knowledge of baggage handling and cargo logistics systems.
Familiarity with airport planning standards and design constraints.
Understanding of conveyor systems, sorters, lifts, and material handling equipment.
Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
