Role Description The Vice President of Projects is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing strategic projects and programs across the organization. This role leads cross-functional project teams, defines priorities, and ensures alignment with company goals, timelines, and budgets. The VP of Projects establishes project management standards, monitors progress, manages risks, and reports on key metrics to senior leadership. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding project roadmaps, facilitating stakeholder communication, resolving issues and dependencies, and driving continuous improvement in processes and delivery. The person in this role collaborates closely with product, engineering, operations, and business leaders to ensure successful execution of complex, global initiatives.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs, preferably in technology, fintech, or crypto-related environments.
Proficiency in project and portfolio management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PMP or similar frameworks) and associated tools.
Strong strategic planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, including presenting to executive leadership and aligning diverse teams.
Experience building and mentoring high-performing project management teams and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including defining KPIs, analyzing performance, and implementing process improvements.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment across time zones, with strong self-management and adaptability.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile) are a plus.
Background or strong interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, financial crime compliance, or risk management is highly beneficial.
