We are seeking a motivated, qualified Senior Accountant to play a crucial role in the operations of our public practice client. You will manage comprehensive financial statement and tax return preparation, oversee BAS and tax planning, collaborate directly with partners, and leverage platforms like Xero, XPM, and SuiteFiles.
Your Impact
Financial Reporting & Tax Preparation: Prepare detailed financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals with a high degree of accuracy.
Business Activity Statements (BAS): Prepare and review BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Advisory & Planning: Drive proactive tax planning engagements, assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting, and collaborate closely with partners to ensure optimal client outcomes.
Independent Execution & Collaboration: Manage multiple tasks autonomously with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills while contributing effectively within a dynamic team environment.
What You Bring
Education & Credentials: CPA or CA qualified accountant.
The Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within a public practice accounting firm (SMSF experience is ideal, though not mandatory).
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), and SuiteFiles.
Core Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior attention to detail, robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
