Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support a fast-growing US-based technology company. This role is responsible for a variety of general ledger and month-end close activities. You will work closely with the US-based accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Month-End Close
Book payroll entries for all subsidiaries, both US and foreign, on a semi-monthly basis. This includes both salaried and hourly employees
Collaborate effectively with Payroll team to ensure payroll accounting is accurate prior to booking payroll entries
Calculate and book the sabbatical accrual on a monthly basis, including monthly reclass between payroll and sabbatical for any employee on sabbatical
Prepare monthly analysis for payroll variances by sub-department and location
Prepare and record monthly allocations (Healthcare, Depreciation, Amortization and Overhead) in NetSuite
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, including investigating and resolving any material differences
Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis for assigned accounts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
2-4 years of general ledger or staff accountant experience
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Experience with accounting ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Experience with payroll accounting preferred
Experience with other accounting systems (FloQast and Navan) preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet month-end deadlines
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Experience supporting US-based clients in an offshore or remote capacity preferred
