About Enhansafe
Enhansafe India Pvt. Ltd. is a Pune-based deep tech defense and homeland security company focused on indigenous manufacturing of unmanned systems. Our portfolio spans defense and search-and-rescue UAVs, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), counter-drone systems and surveillance solutions.
We build for armed forces, homeland security and disaster-response users, and we are scaling domestic production in line with India's self-reliance push in defense.
Role summary
We are looking for a hands-on technical expert to own manufacturing processes, component sourcing and technical compliance across our unmanned platforms. You will take products from design and rapid prototype through flight and field testing to repeatable production.
You will identify what each program needs, find and qualify the right suppliers in India and abroad, and make sure every build meets the applicable technical, quality and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
Manufacturing processes
• Define, document and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for UAVs, USVs and UGVs, from prototype to low-rate and series production.
• Prepare process sheets, work instructions, jigs and fixture requirements, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Drive Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) with the design team to cut cost, weight and build time.
• Set up and improve in-house fabrication, including 3D printing, composites and machining workflows.
Requirement identification and sourcing
• Translate customer requirements into component-level technical specifications.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers in India and overseas for motors, ESCs, flight controllers, batteries, propellers, airframes, sensors, payloads, communication links and GNSS modules.
• Prioritize indigenous sourcing where feasible to support Make in India and indigenous content requirements.
• Manage imports end to end: technical evaluation, quotations, samples, negotiations, lead times, and coordination on import documentation and export-control requirements.
• Build and maintain an approved vendor list with alternate sources for critical components.
Technical compliance and quality
• Ensure products and components comply with applicable standards and regulations, including DGCA drone rules, QCI certification, defence quality requirements and customer specifications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for certification, tenders and customer acceptance trials.
• Set up incoming inspection, quality checks and traceability for critical parts.
Design, prototyping and testing
• Lead rapid prototyping using 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS and similar) across polymers and engineering materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, nylon, carbon-fibre-reinforced filaments, TPU and resins, Carbon Fiber, Glass fiber and composite molding techniques.
• Support design iterations through CAD modelling and structural reviews.
• Plan and conduct ground tests, flight tests and field trials; analyze logs and feed results back into design and production.
• Integrate and troubleshoot hardware and software across flight controllers, autopilots, sensors, payloads and ground control systems.
Qualifications and experience
• B.E./B.Tech in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or Robotics Engineering. M.E./M.Tech is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in design, rapid prototyping, 3D printing and flight testing of drones or robotic systems.
• Proven track record of sourcing components from domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience setting up or running manufacturing and assembly processes for UAVs or similar electromechanical products.
• Working knowledge of technical compliance and certification for drones or defence products.
