About the Role
We're looking for a versatile Content Writer & Editor Intern to be the voice – and face – of Namma Yatri's Kerala operations, helping riders and drivers understand the app, its services, benefits, updates and campaigns.
This is a hands-on, in-house creative role for someone who brings sharp writing, on-camera confidence, and a genuine feel for Kerala's culture, Malayalam communication, and current digital trends.
Key Responsibilities
● Write compelling copy in Malayalam and English for social creatives, app banners, pop-ups and campaigns – explaining features, benefits and safety updates.
● Develop headlines, taglines, captions and campaign concepts, and write scripts for reels, explainers, interviews and community stories.
● Present and appear on camera for app explainers, campaign films, interviews and event coverage; run vox pops with riders, drivers and the community.
● Design rider- and driver-facing creatives – social posts, app banners, pop-ups, posters, standees and event branding.
● Edit reels, promos and explainers: motion graphics, titles, subtitles, sound, and colour grading.
● Adapt every asset across platforms and formats while keeping brand voice and visual consistency intact.
● Translate Kerala's trends, humour and cultural moments into content people actually engage with.
● Collaborate with designers, product, ops and marketing teams, using AI tools to move faster, while managing multiple briefs and deadlines
Skills We're Looking For
Clear, confident communication in Malayalam and English, with the ability to adapt messaging across platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and/or DaVinci Resolve is expected.
A strong grasp of typography, layout, colour theory, pacing and visual storytelling, along with real Kerala cultural fluency – pop culture, local humour and current trends. Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows is a plus.
Qualifications & Eligibility
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual Media, Visual Communication, Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
● Prior internship or hands-on project experience preferred.
● Proficiency in Malayalam and English, with strong knowledge of Kerala's culture and current trends.
● Ability to turn briefs into clear, engaging ideas, and manage multiple projects independently.
● Relevant work samples or a portfolio are mandatory.
