About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We’re looking for a Databricks Technical Practice Lead to build on Hiflylabs’ Databricks expertise across our Data Platform Solutions, AI and Application Development divisions.
You’ll spend approximately 50% of your time designing and implementing client solutions, with the remaining time dedicated to technical leadership, developing our experts, and building and running our Databricks practice.
What you’ll do
Develop and run our Databricks practice: set priorities, coordinate experts across divisions and organise shared initiatives.
Shape technical direction with the CTO and technical leaders, define engineering standards, and support delivery quality through architecture and technical reviews.
Build and maintain shared knowledge, reusable code, reference architectures and accelerators, bringing relevant Databricks developments into our work.
Develop colleagues’ expertise through mentoring, training, knowledge sharing and certification paths.
Own our technical relationship with Databricks as both a partner and a client, and contribute to joint initiatives.
Support presales and client workshops, and represent Hiflylabs through technical content, events and the wider Databricks community.
What you’ll bring
Deep, hands-on Databricks expertise and a broad understanding of its capabilities across data engineering, advanced analytics, AI/ML and application development.
A strong track record in delivering integrated solutions using Databricks and complementary tools and technologies across the wider data and AI ecosystem.
Experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Architect, Engineering Lead or similar senior technical leader.
Experience building or leading technical teams or communities, with the ability and motivation to establish effective ways of working.
A commitment to developing others while staying actively involved in engineering and delivery.
Strong communication skills: you can guide engineers, advise clients and collaborate effectively with partners.
Fluent English.
Experience with conference talks, technical writing or other forms of external knowledge sharing is a plus.
Candidates based in Hungary are preferred, but we also welcome applications from international candidates.
