Database Administrator

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Database Administrator at SICURA CON ME. The Database Administrator will manage and maintain company databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database performance, applying updates and patches, performing backups and recovery procedures, and managing user access and permissions. The role also involves designing and optimizing database structures to support applications and reporting, implementing and monitoring replication, and diagnosing and resolving technical issues in collaboration with other team members. The Database Administrator will document configurations and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of data management practices aligned with the company’s safety services.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, with experience managing production environments.
Proficiency in Database Design and optimization to support scalable, reliable applications.
Ability to perform Troubleshooting for database performance, errors, and connectivity issues.
Experience with Replication and high-availability setups for data consistency and resilience.
Knowledge of data security best practices, backup and recovery strategies, and access control.
Familiarity with common relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) or equivalent technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Prior experience in service-oriented or compliance-focused environments is a plus.
Relevant education or certifications in computer science, information technology, or database management are beneficial.
