Marketing Communications Manager

Role Description The Marketing Communications Manager at AWS Student Builder Group Universidad del Valle is a part-time, remote role focused on planning and executing communication and marketing initiatives that support student engagement and program visibility. This role manages day-to-day activities such as drafting and distributing press releases, coordinating announcements, and developing content for email, social media, and internal channels. The person in this position collaborates with student leaders and stakeholders to align messaging with program goals, maintain a consistent brand voice, and support event promotion. Additional responsibilities include tracking communication performance, preparing simple reports, and refining strategies based on feedback and data. The role also involves organizing communication timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule, and maintaining clear documentation of campaigns and projects.
Qualifications
Strong Communication and Marketing Communications skills to craft clear, engaging messages for diverse student audiences.
Experience with Strategic Communications to align messaging with program goals and maintain consistent branding.
Ability to create and manage Press Releases for events, initiatives, and key announcements.
Project Management skills to plan, organize, and track communication campaigns and deliverables.
Familiarity with digital channels (social media, email, online communities) and basic analytics to measure communication impact.
Excellent written and verbal English skills; Spanish proficiency is beneficial for local engagement.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate with student teams, and manage multiple priorities.
Background or studies in marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields is preferred but not required.
