Lead Software Engineer - Kotlin

Tech Lead – Kotlin | Financial Services | Long-Term Contract
I’m currently looking for an experienced Tech Lead to join a long-term contract with a client operating in the financial services / digital banking space.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining architecture, software development, technical decision-making and team leadership.
Key requirements
Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior/Lead Software Engineer.
Strong commercial experience with Kotlin is required.
Previous experience in financial services, banking, fintech or payments is required.
Strong knowledge of Java / Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
Experience with cloud technologies and modern CI/CD practices.
Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Comfortable working in regulated environments and dealing with non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, availability and performance.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
