We are partnering with a growing engineering consultancy supporting clients across the power generation, renewable energy, transmission, and critical infrastructure markets.
The organization is looking for an experienced NERC Compliance professional to help develop and lead its compliance capability while remaining closely involved in the technical work.
This is not purely a compliance management or governance position. The successful candidate will have personally performed NERC compliance work and be comfortable working directly with engineering teams, technical documentation, evidence packages, audits, and registration requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead and personally support NERC compliance activities for GO/GOP organizations
Support and/or own NERC registration activities and applicability assessments
Develop, review, and maintain compliance programs, procedures, controls, and evidence packages
Prepare organizations for NERC audits, including evidence collection, review, gap identification, and remediation
Work across applicable Operations & Planning (O&P) and CIP standards
Review technical documentation including electrical one-lines, network diagrams, engineering records, and supporting compliance evidence
What We're Looking For
Significant professional experience with NERC Reliability Standards
Strong, personally hands-on experience supporting GO/GOP compliance
Experience personally developing and reviewing NERC evidence packages
Direct involvement in NERC audits and audit preparation
Experience with NERC registration and/or registration-related activities
Working knowledge across relevant O&P and CIP standards
Ability to read and understand electrical one-lines, network diagrams, and technical engineering documentation
Demonstrated experience working directly with engineers to understand technical issues and establish appropriate compliance evidence
Experience developing, implementing, or owning NERC compliance programs and packages
Strong client-facing communication skills
Ability to operate independently as a technical SME while also providing leadership and mentorship
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to take a significant role in the development of a growing NERC compliance capability while remaining close to the technical work.
You'll have the opportunity to work directly with engineering teams and clients, influence how the function is built, and become a key technical resource as the organization expands its compliance offering.
