Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning and designing interior spaces that complement Painting Drive’s wood polishing and painting services, ensuring cohesive and functional designs for clients in Mumbai. Day-to-day tasks include meeting clients to understand requirements, creating design concepts and layouts, preparing drawings and presentations, and selecting finishes, colors, materials, and furniture that align with project goals. The role involves coordinating with painters, polishers, and other site professionals, overseeing implementation on-site, and ensuring designs are executed to agreed quality standards and timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular site visits, vendor interactions, and hands-on supervision of ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to create functional, aesthetic layouts suited to residential and commercial spaces.
Knowledge of Architecture principles and Construction Drawings for effective coordination with site teams and contractors.
Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, including finishes, materials, and color palettes appropriate for painting and polishing projects.
Strong visualization and presentation skills, including proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools).
Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate client needs into practical design solutions.
Attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple projects on-site in Mumbai.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; relevant industry experience in interiors, painting, or finishing works is preferred.
