Interior Designer Intern

Role Description: The Interior Design Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The intern will support the design team in planning and visualizing interior spaces, assisting with layout drawings, mood boards, and material selection. Daily tasks include coordinating with senior designers on space planning, furniture placement, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) choices that align with client requirements and project budgets. The intern will visit project sites to understand ongoing painting and polishing work, document progress, and help ensure design specifications are met. The role also involves collaborating with clients and vendors, preparing basic presentations, and maintaining organized project files.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in interior design principles, including space planning and interior design concepts.
Knowledge of furniture design and selection, with an understanding of FF&E coordination.
Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and basic presentation software.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work on-site across multiple project locations in Mumbai.
Interest in finishes, materials, and color schemes related to painting and wood polishing is an advantage.
