Role Description The Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Service Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of analytical instruments and scientific equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, providing timely field service and technical support, and ensuring minimal downtime for customer operations. The role involves maintaining service documentation, coordinating with internal teams and vendors for parts and escalations, and supporting equipment demonstrations when needed. The Service Engineer will interact directly with customers, provide basic user training, and uphold safety and quality standards during all service activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for analytical instruments and related systems.
Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site visits and customer-facing technical work.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities, including remote and on-site assistance.
Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for scientific equipment and instrumentation.
Relevant diploma or degree in engineering (electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, or related field).
Ability to read technical manuals, interpret schematics, and work with test tools and measurement equipment.
Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures.
Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region as required.
Prior experience in analytical instruments or laboratory equipment service is an advantage.
