ABOUT THE ROLE
Join A Training company as an Engineering Manager - Frontend in Chennai, where you will lead a
dedicated Client Engineering team responsible for creating innovative trading solutions. With a
team that is poised for growth, you will have the opportunity to shape the engineering culture and processes while making a direct impact on our traders' experiences. Your leadership will guide the team towards scalability, efficiency, and excellence in product delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee all aspects of people management, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development for the engineering team.
Direct the delivery and execution of workflow, ensuring discipline during sprints and predictable product releases across various platforms.
Establish the engineering processes from the ground up, implementing code review standards and documentation practices for the team.
Manage dependencies across teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration to avoid project delays.
Lead the recruitment to expand the Client Engineering team, driving the hiring process and team culture as the team grows from approximately 6 to over 10 members.
Maintain a technical presence by reviewing code and making architectural decisions within various product surfaces.
Directly support engineers by addressing complex issues and unblocking challenges they encounter during development.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering management, overseeing teams of 8 or more engineers.
Proven expertise in managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, and promotions.
Demonstrated ability to implement effective team structures and processes for high-quality product delivery.
Strong technical foundation in frontend technologies, particularly with React and TypeScript.
Experience in executing agile methodologies and maintaining disciplined sprint cycles.
NICE TO HAVE
Familiarity with mobile application development, particularly React Native.
Experience with modern software development practices, such as continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
Knowledge of financial technology and trading platforms to understand user needs better.
