Role Description The Executive Vice President of Finance at Allianz Benelux is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, governance, and performance of the Benelux region. This position leads the finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation to support sustainable growth and profitability. The role includes responsibility for accurate and timely financial reporting, oversight of financial statements, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Group standards. The EVP of Finance collaborates closely with regional and global leadership, acts as a strategic advisor on investment decisions and business initiatives, and drives continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. Day-to-day activities include leading finance teams, monitoring key financial and risk indicators, preparing executive-level presentations, and supporting transformation projects and strategic programs across Allianz Benelux.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Finance, Financial Planning, and Financial Reporting to guide regional strategy and decision-making.
Proficient in interpreting and overseeing Financial Statements, with robust Analytical Skills to assess performance and risk.
Extensive leadership experience in senior finance roles, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and working in an international, matrix environment.
Advanced knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to insurance and financial services in the EU/Benelux region.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights.
Experience with financial systems, data analytics tools, and process optimization; familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP is an advantage.
Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA) are beneficial.
