We’re looking to connect with experienced Chief Legal Officers / General Counsels who can provide strategic legal oversight and expertise across diverse organizations. Key Responsibilities May Include:
Developing and executing a comprehensive legal strategy aligned with overall business goals, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
Providing expert legal counsel to the C-suite and board of directors on a wide range of corporate matters, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Overseeing and managing legal risk, including litigation, investigations, and disputes.
Structuring, drafting, and negotiating critical business agreements and partnerships.
Ensuring regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions relevant to the business's operations.
Advising on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Developing and implementing internal legal policies, procedures, and training programs.
Managing relationships with external legal counsel and other professional service providers.
Acting as an executive thought partner to founders or CEOs on all aspects of legal strategy, risk management, and ethical business practices.
Key Requirements May Include:
Proven experience in a senior legal leadership, General Counsel, or executive legal consulting role.
Track record of successfully managing complex legal issues and providing strategic advice in a corporate or fast-growth environment.
Deep expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Strong understanding of legal principles applicable to various business functions (e.g., intellectual property, data privacy, employment law).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership abilities, comfortable engaging with C-suite, boards, and external stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a meticulous, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Active bar membership in relevant jurisdictions is typically required for this level of role.
Prior experience as a fractional, interim, or consulting executive is a strong plus.
