Key Responsibilities:
DevOps Integration: Collaborate with software development to integrate best practices into the DevOps pipeline, automating controls and promoting a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, ensuring efficient, reliable, and repeatable build, test, and deployment processes.
Cloud Infrastructure: Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ensuring environments are scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient.
Continuous Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
Security Integration: Embed security practices across the DevOps pipeline, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and adherence to Azure security best practices.
Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, contributing to root cause analysis and the implementation of preventative measures.
Compliance: Support compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) through appropriate infrastructure controls, access management, and audit readiness.
Collaboration & Enablement: Provide guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices, tooling, and workflows.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Strong hands-on experience with Pipelines, Repositories, Artifacts
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, and identity (AAD/Entra ID)
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep/ARM templates
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
Solid understanding of observability (e.g MELT) and related tools
Familiarity with Azure security tooling, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and RBAC
Understanding of networking fundamentals in Azure (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS)
